1. Create A Nurturing Plan For Virtual New-Hire Onboarding
When onboarding a new hire, it is tricky to effectively acclimate them to the company culture in this new normal. Here are a few ideas to successfully integrate your new employee into your organization even though you may have never met them face-to-face.
Before the employee’s official start date:
• Circulate a new employee announcement to the entire team.
• Send a welcome package to the individual replete with company swag (logoed mug, tote bag, T-shirt, etc.) and information regarding benefits, corporate policies, useful information about the company employee development plan, and more.
